UNIX Web Site Hosting ChangesPlease be aware that in an effort to improve our level of service, we are changing some connection options for our UNIX based web hosting customers. If you are a current hosting customer, or you actively use your personal web page, please see below for our updated FTP, SSH, and SCP connection information. This will provide you with detailed instructions for how to connect to our web hosting server and easily update and access your files. If you can't find what you are looking for here, please contact our Help Desk. |

Front Page Extensions | ||

• Front page extensions are being discontinued. Microsoft stopped supporting this in 2006. • Instructions: Please be sure to change your site setting to reflect the example at the left. You may be using FrontPage Server Extensions at the top of the Properties window. You will need to change to FTP. It is the third option down and is highlighted in red to the left. • Tips: Please be sure to check below for the connection options which you will need to input into the yellow highlighted boxes. |

FTP AccessHost Name/Server/Address: "ftp.toad.net" Port: 21 Username/User ID: your username Place all web site files in the "public_html" directory Label your homepage "index.html" or "index.php" |
SCP/SFTP AccessHost Name/Server/Address: "ftp.toad.net" Port: 22 Username/User ID: your username Place all web site files in the "public_html" directory Label your homepage "index.html" or "index.php" Depending on what is available in the SFTP software you use, choose SFTP with SCP fallback, SFTP, or SCP as connection type. The first time you go to a new location, the program may ask you if it should cache the server key -- click yes. |

SoftwareThere are many FTP, SCP, and SFTP clients available, feel free to use any of them. For general knowledge on how to use these different clients, please read the documentation for your particular client software. |
